Motion and rest

Devoid of warmth, the sun illuminates tiny wind-blown snow particles creeping along the shore, hesitating leeward of grassy rafts anchored for the season.  Arctic fingers have closed off access to their parent with a skin of sibling ice, under which liquid cousins slumber awaiting the brush of spring wind.
