Sometimes you just have to get down in the water and see where the stream goes. And discover what is dangling over the edge of the bank seeking out water. The light is filtered through the canopy, giving a green cast to everything. Eyes adjust and present a normal appearance but the camera sees reality and images look like they were shot through a green filter. Lots of software ways of eliminating but the best way is to make it B&W and play with the tones. Sunlight dapples and shadow falls reveal the pebbly nature of the muddy bank, providing a dark backdrop for the leaves to highlight against.
Although abundant, plant life isn’t the most interesting aspect of getting down in the water.
